Coming in hot is LE SSERAFIM’s new single, nominated for “Best K-pop Song” at the 23rd Korean Music Awards and featured on Spotify Weekly Top Songs Global for 4 weeks. The song’s popularity hit hard on TikTok and Instagram while trending world-wide. The single, SPAGHETTI (feat. j-hope of BTS) was released on October 24, 2025 with a style of alternative funk pop and some electro-pop components. Following its release in late 2025, the song has successfully maintained its popularity into the new year.
LE SSERAFIM is a 4th generation K-pop girl group composed of members Chaewon, Kazuha, Yunjin, Sakura, and Eunchae. The group’s debut in mid-2022 with their mini-album FEARLESS won the “Rookie [Artist] of the Year” award for 6 different major award shows like SBS MTV’s “The Show,” 2022 Asia Artist Awards, 2023 Golden Disc Awards, and more. LESSERAFIM has pushed their limits of their fame even further to create continuous hits each release.
Musical and Performance Quality
The lyrics live practically rent-free in your head with their message of staying confident in yourself. They envelop your mind in an addictive way and create an atmosphere that takes you to space. The song starts with a tone of soft whispering winds to set the mood, as if the members are telling a ghost story or a secret. However, the chorus grabs the spotlight with its repeated Gen-Z slang reference to the phrase “eat it up,” which is used to praise someone for pulling something off well and contributes to the message of the song: self confidence. By injecting popular language into their music, LESSERAFIM and their new single went viral on big social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter.

Despite the song being primarily in Korean, its instrumental provides a way for foreign listeners to jam along. A roller coaster ride of sound brings the lyrics to life, incorporating crazy and unexpected elements like cow bells, which spice it up and bring a special touch to the instrumental. Up, down, left, right, in the back, the synth and bass work together to form an adventurous and wild vibe with their bold and heavy rhythm. The bright synth delivers a visualization of an assortment of colorful lines while the bass growls and rumbles, adding some roughness to the song.
J-hope, a rapper and main dancer of one of the most widely-known K-pop group (BTS), was featured in the single. Known for his impeccable dance skills and solo songs like “Chicken Noodle Soup (feat. Becky G),” he took the chance to be featured in one of the biggest hits of the K-pop industry. J-hope gladly collaborated with LE SSERAFIM, happy to work with another quirky song. Not only did he help compose and write the lyrics, but he rapped a verse in the song. His rap lines were clean as a knife cutting through butter, “내가 네 취향 드라마 주인공이고 또 숨.듣.명이고, 고칼로리 Hershey 초코 (I’m the main character in your kind of drama. Your guilty pleasure, your high-calorie Hershey chocolate.)”
In their live performances, LE SSERAFIM’s vocals were somewhat shaky and unstable. However, their active choreography created a challenge for the members vocally, and they nonetheless successfully performed the song, even with improvement from previous releases. In certain parts of the choreography with less movement, they were more stable and projected a loud, clear voice. Each move matched the beat and sound effects to connect both the choreography and the music. Some parts of the choreography were executed low on the floor, contributing to the unexpectedness and oddness of the concept.

In a spark of quirky and fun elements, the song successfully creates the perfect “organized chaos” vibe to entangle the listeners like spaghetti noodles. Even with the photo book albums having their unique names, “Weird Garlic”, “Knocking Basil”, and “Cheeky Neon Pepper”, they didn’t fail to show off their bizarre concept . Each photo book includes an 84p photo-book, CD, lyric card, postcard, 2 stickers, 1 of 5 photo cards, and a folding poster. Most of the components of the album are used for decoration, collecting, and re-selling.
Rating: Was The Listen Worth It?
Overall, the album definitely deserved its hype with LE SSERAFIM’s well-produced music and fun choreography. The producers, lyricists, choreographers, and artist group put their effort into changing up the cute vibes of K-pop into something messy and unique. This album is most likely fit for the youth and Gen-Z population on social media for its young slang references and strange yet interesting titles. Out of 10 stars, LE SSERAFIM’s single would have to be rated 9 stars.
