The Underrated Strawberry Jello Poke Cake

Carys

This underated strawberry jello poke cake recipe is easy and delicious.

While in quarantine, we are forced to stay at home, which may seem boring. However, there are many ways to keep you occupied, such as trying out new recipes in your own kitchen.

The Strawberry Jello Poke Cake has been around for some time, but isn’t very popular. I wanted to try to make it to keep me busy for some time and because it seems delicious.

First, you have to make the cake, it can be a white, strawberry, or yellow butter cake but I made a yellow butter cake and let it cool for at least thirty minutes after it’s done baking.

Once the cake is cooled, poke holes in the whole cake so that jello will be able to seep into the cake evenly and to the bottom of it. I used the end of a rolling pin to make the holes.

Next, I made the strawberry jello by boiling water and pouring the strawberry powder into it and mixed it together.

After, I poured the mixture into the cake, so that I covered the entire cake with the strawberry mixture.

Finally, I topped the cake with whipped cream, sliced strawberries, and crushed pecans.

My experience in making this cake was quite fun. The recipe was straightforward, and the instructions were clear. I was able to be entertained for a few hours and showed me how capable I was to be able to make my own food instead of relying on other people or spending money on fast food. I also accomplished making a delightful and tasty cake.
